Currently in my shell

OK, I know it's been a while since I've updated the blog. Come on, admit it, you've done the same thing yourselves.

Let's just say I've been hibernating for a while as the harsh northern winter decides to go on its merry way. There are signs of spring in the air, and soon I'll be munching on grass in the yard and flowers in the garden, and blogging to my little chelonian heart's content.

Oh, the deep, slow thump of a hibernating chelonian heartbeat. So mellow. Relaxed. Thump. Thump. Dreaming about strawberries. Thump. I might have to come out of hibernation for strawberries alone. Thump-thump. Soon.

Back in August...

Your lovely hostess, Turtledown, will be soon be on vacation through the end of this month. I had hoped to post some more chelonian items before I left, but there is just no time.

I'll be in Iowa, searching for Iowan shelled critters along my way. Enjoy the remainder of July!
